Diving in Australia

Australia is a continent on its own, with a length from north to south is 3700 km and a width from east to west is 4000 km. Parallel to the East Coast, 15 and 250 km from the mainland, is the largest coral formation in the world, "The Great Barrier Reef" of 2000 km long and covers an area of nearly 35 million hectares in Coral Sea. It stretches from southern Queensland to the tip of Cape York and Papua New Guinea. But Australia is also Christmas Island and Cocos Islands (south of Java, Indonesia), Ashmore, Cartier, the Territory of Heard Island and McDonald and Antarctic Territory.

On the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea, there are many opportunities to dive. Either cruising for a meeting with huge groupers, wrasses, rays, turtles or the wreck of the Yongala, or staying on land including Heron Island. There are other spectacular diving, those encounters with great whites and those with the most unusual sea dragons on Kangaroo Island. The possibilities are so varied that one trip is not sufficient to understand this country both in land and underwater.
